Terms
Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and Rumination Labs (Private) Limited, a company registered in Pakistan, for using Cloud Invitations at cloudinvitations.com. By setting up an account, or by paying for an event, you agree to them. Please read them with our privacy policy and refund policy, which are part of them.
1. What Cloud Invitations is
Cloud Invitations lets you make an online invitation for an event, keep a guest list, send each guest their own link by email or WhatsApp, collect replies, and — with the plans that include them — make pictures and an opening film for the invitation and gather your guests’ photos in a shared album.
Each event has one invitation. A wedding with a Nikkah and a Walima is two events, each bought on its own.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over to hold an account or to pay.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account, including what the people you add to your team do there.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. We may pause an account to protect it.
3. Plans and prices
You choose a plan for each event: Standard, Custom, Cloud Share, or Enterprise, which we price by quote. The billing page in your account shows each plan’s price for your event and what it includes before you pay. A plan covers that one event’s invitation for as long as the invitation is live.
Customers in Pakistan pay in Pakistani rupees, and the price includes any tax we are required to charge. Customers elsewhere pay in US dollars; Paddle works out any sales tax, VAT or similar tax that applies where you live and shows the total before you pay. We may change our prices for the future; a change never affects an event you have already paid for, in full or in part.
4. Paying
- In Pakistan, you can pay online through Safepay, by card or with a mobile wallet. Safepay and the banks behind it handle your card or wallet details; we never see or keep your full card number. You can also pay us directly — for example by bank transfer — where we agree it with you.
- Elsewhere, you buy through Paddle, by card or another method Paddle offers. Paddle is the merchant of record and payment processor for these purchases: it takes your payment, collects and pays the tax, sends your receipt, and answers questions about payments and refunds. Rumination Labs (Private) Limited is the provider of the software, and provides Cloud Invitations to you under these terms. Your purchase from Paddle is also covered by Paddle’s checkout buyer terms. We never see or keep your full card number.
- You can pay in full, or pay a deposit now and the balance later. The deposit’s share is shown at checkout. The deposit starts the work: you can design your invitation and use the Pearls it brings. The balance must be paid before the invitation is published or sent to your guests.
- We issue an invoice for every payment made through Safepay or to us directly. For a purchase through Paddle, Paddle issues the invoice or receipt. You will find your invoices on your billing page.
- If a referral discount or referral credit applies, it is taken off the price before you pay, under the terms of the referral programme shown in your account.
5. Pearls
Pearls are credit in your account for the extras that cost us to make: pictures and opening films from our studio, and invitations sent automatically on WhatsApp. Each plan includes Pearls, and you can buy more. The price of each extra in Pearls is shown before you use it.
- Pearls belong to the account, not to one event, and can be used on any of its paid events.
- Pearls you buy, alone or with a plan, do not expire.
- Pearls we give you as a gift expire after the period shown beside them in your account.
- A studio run that does not finish gives its Pearls back as they were. Any that expired while it ran come back for a limited time, shown beside them.
- Pearls have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, moved to another account or sold.
- If a payment is refunded or reversed, the Pearls it brought are taken back. Pearls from it that were already used stay used, and the refund policy explains how that affects the refund.
6. Your content and your guests
Everything you put into Cloud Invitations — names, words, photographs, your guest list — stays yours. You allow us to store it, process it and show it as needed to run the service for you, including sending the photos you choose to our studio’s AI providers when you ask for a picture or a film, and showing your invitation and album to the guests you invite.
- Only upload photographs you have the right to use, and only of people who are happy for them to be used this way.
- Only add guests you are inviting, whose contact details you have the right to use for that. Your guests receive your invitation from us on your behalf.
- Do not use Cloud Invitations for anything unlawful, hateful or misleading, to send messages people have not asked for, or to try to break or overload it.
We may remove content, or pause sending, that breaks these rules.
7. Pictures and films made by AI
Our studio makes pictures and opening films with AI models run by other companies. Results vary, and a result may not look exactly as you imagined; you choose which to use. A run that fails to produce a result gives its Pearls back automatically. You are responsible for how you use what the studio makes.
8. Emails and WhatsApp messages
Invitations are sent to the guests you choose, in your name. Every automatic WhatsApp message tells the guest who it is from and how to stop further messages, and we honour that request for good. We limit how often one address or number can be sent to, and we may pause sending to protect the people receiving it.
9. Keeping it running
We work to keep Cloud Invitations available and your invitation online, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted — for maintenance, or because a provider we rely on has a problem. We may improve or change features; we will not take away something your paid event depends on before its day.
10. Ending
You can ask us to delete an event, or to close your account, at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we will tell you why. Deleting an event removes its guest list, photos and creations; payment records and invoices are kept as the law requires.
11. Our responsibility to you
We provide Cloud Invitations with reasonable care and skill. If something goes wrong because of us, our total responsibility for an event is limited to what you paid for that event. We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for indirect losses such as lost profit or opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.
12. Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan decide any dispute about them. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and a change that matters to a paid event is not applied to it without telling you first.
13. Talking to us
